Talk to Strangers

I joined a Facebook group called middle school teachers. This group was an open-to-join group where teachers posted things they found useful in the classroom and also questions they had that needed answering. I saw several different websites that could be useful for me as a middle school teacher and also templates for all different kinds of lessons in school.

I have learned about an assignment that a teacher used called slice of life where students draw and illustrate things they consider something that makes them up as a person and makes them who they are.

I also learned that this is a safe space to ask questions, one anonymous account asked if hoods are really that disrespectful and if they are really just for comfort. Others in the comments felt it was just a good way to hide headphones and it is a respectful thing. So I found several questions from teachers to be answered by other teachers.

One thing I found interesting was the amount of people posting side hustles and summer jobs for teachers to make money outside of education. I found a lot of good ideas for things to do while still teaching to bring in some extra money. Along with several internships and other positions open to fill all over the country.
