Photo and a Quote

Using canva for me was easy because I have used canva several times to make different kinds of posters and graphics.

Finding a picture that I liked that abided by the copyright laws was a little harder because I couldn't find a picture I liked.

I used canva for my photo editor because it is something I am used to and have experience with.

I would recommend Canva to everyone, I think it is a phenomenal source to edit photos and to create posts for any different kind of situation. I think my students would love canva because they can explore a bunch of different tools, and create posters.

I used the tools tab on google to make sure the pictures I was using abided by the copyright laws, I think that would be a very easy tool for my students to also use because it is simple and quick. 

The ISTE standard that I think fits this assignment is 2.5.c because it talks about                                                                                                         creating innovative learning environments

My Experience with Technology

 My experience with technology is limited but not non-existent. I have used several different tools throughout my schooling in regards to technology. I have used things like Kahoot, Google Slides, Keynote, and other things in that realm. I would like to broaden my spectrum with other tools that allow me to do different things that otherwise I wouldn't be able to do in my classroom. I think the blog is going to be a very effective tool for me to have and bounce ideas off with other teachers and show what has worked and hasn't worked for me in the classroom.

Talk to Strangers

 I joined a Facebook group called middle school teachers . This group was an open-to-join group where teachers posted things they found useful in the classroom and also questions they had that needed answering. I saw several different websites that could be useful for me as a middle school teacher and also templates for all different kinds of lessons in school.  I have learned about an assignment that a teacher used called slice of life where students draw and illustrate things they consider something that makes them up as a person and makes them who they are. I also learned that this is a safe space to ask questions, one anonymous account asked if hoods are really that disrespectful and if they are really just for comfort. Others in the comments felt it was just a good way to hide headphones and it is a respectful thing. So I found several questions from teachers to be answered by other teachers.
